Feeling Lucky?
Rotary Reverse Raffle is Saturday, November 1. $120 is
dinner for two and chance to win $10,000. Need not be
present to win. Tickets are available from Yvonne Leiser.
The Brainerd Rotary Foundation supports personal and educational
opportunities for area youth.

Preparing
for Yearend

At yearend, Form 1099s will be
prepared for all Sole Proprietors and Partnerships who provided
services to your business. Have
accurate information on all
of your Independent Subcontractors and from any provider of a
service (such as us) to your business. Here's a W9 form that
can be used to request the information needed.
Annual SIMPLE IRA Employee
Notification
If you offer the SIMPLE retirement plan to your employees:
ONE, decide what the plan will match
for the coming year. Most employers make a matching
contribution of 3% of the employee's compensation.
TWO, notify your employees on or before
November 3. Your provider will give you a Summary Plan
Description and Employer Contribution Notice to share with your
employees.
THREE, insert the 2009 notice in the Appendix of the Employee
Handbook

employer and employee retirement and health plan contributions.
Business Gives The
Brainerd Lakes Area Business Gives Program recognizes local
businesses
that donated 2% or more of their pretax earnings to the
community.
Businesses
are recognized for giving cash and/or in-kind contributions to
charitable organizations amounting to 2 percent or more of their
pretax earnings. Five area businesses are currently
participating in the Brainerd Lakes Area Business Gives program
and include
AccountAbility Solutions,
Brainerd Dispatch, Brainerd General Rental, CTC and
